About Me

In 2015 I took my first real trip outside of the United States. I'd been to Mexico a few times but only for spring break trips which I would hesitate to call an adventure abroad. Anyway, in May of 2015 I visited the England, Czech Republic, and Croatia. I fell in love with travelling and since that trip I have visited over 10 countries with plans to keep that list growing.

I enjoy going out for drinks and local food when I travel but at the same time, I am always up for new experiences. I am a very flexible traveler who is happy to waste a day at the beach or run around frantically trying to fit as many things into the day as possible. I've met some awesome people from my recent travels and look forward to meeting many more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to connect with more travelers. Travelling has become my passion and if I can help other travelers by providing a place to stay, I'll feel a great sense of accomplishment.

A goal of mine is to take a long hiatus from work and travel the world. I hope Couchsurfing will help make that trip much more cost effective versus staying in hotels.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to EDM but like all sorts of music. I love movies and I tend to prefer comedies but always find value in any movie I watch. I tend to read books that will help me develop as a person and I don't spend a lot of time reading books that are geared solely towards entertainment. I enjoy reading books that add value and books that contain actionable steps I can take to live a more deliberate and enjoyable life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed in King's Cup Regatta in Thailand where our crew finished 4th in the Platu One Design class. I started getting involved in sailing a few years ago but experiencing an actual race with a serious crew was a whole new adventure. Racing sailboats was much more intense than I initially expected but the amount of knowledge I gained from that trip has helped me tremendously with sailing around Chicago and will surely help on my upcoming sailing trip to Montenegro.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything I am good at I am willing to teach. For anyone visiting Chicago during summer, I really love to sail and would gladly help teach any travelers some of the basics for sailing.

I enjoy learning new things and I tend to pick things up quickly so whatever other Couchsurfers have to teach me I will embrace wholeheartedly.
