Présentation
À propos de moi
Hi! I am a rising senior at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. I am spending my summer traveling around the west coast, with the goal of being outdoorsy, meeting new people, and having an adventure.
First a little about me: I grew up in Westport, CT with one sister, and two dogs. I am a Psychology Major and an Education Minor at school. Yet the truth is my real area of study at college has been the outdoors. The outdoors are my passion. I grew up canoeing in Temagami, Ontario and now love to canoe, kayak, hike, backpack, basically anything outdoorsy you can think of. I also love to cook. I like to say I have the world's largest sweet tooth, and love to cook things that attempt to satisfy this.
I have decided to travel this summer because I felt it would be a more enriching experience than working an internship, or trying to find a summer job. My journey started in Chicago in early June and is continuing through the middle of August.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
After spending several weeks traveling with only 1 other person I have come to realize that what I love about traveling is not the activities themselves, but instead it is the people I meet and the relationships I form. Hiking, paddling, or cooking are no fun if I cannot use it as a way to make friends and form relationships. During my travels this summer, I hope that couch surfing will allow me to meet interesting and diverse people, and learn about myself in the process.
I am looking for hosts who are interested in getting to know each other, whether that be through sharing a dinner (I would LOVE to cook dinner for you!), staying up late talking about life, or going on a hike together. I am not here to use couch surfing as a cheap hotel. I am here to use couch surfing as a way to find community on my travels.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
For me music is all about the sound. The lyrics are less important than if the song makes me feel emotions. Some of my favorite artists are Matoma, Jon Bellion, and Kygo.
I am not much of a movie watcher but have a shameful obsession with Law and Order: SVU
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I spent this past winter whitewater kayaking in Ecuador. One of the days, floods meant that we couldn't paddle, so we talked to some locals who directed us to a "hidden waterfall". After a 10 minute hike through the jungle, we came upon a 100 foot falls that you could get as close as you wanted to. Walking towards the falls was like walking into a hurricane, with water and wind blasting against your face. Yet near the base of the falls was one of the most energetic and enlivened places I have ever stepped. Certainly the best "rainy day plan" I have managed to find in a while.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
Cooking: I love to cook and bake. I would be more than happy to cook dinner for you, bake dessert for you, or come bearing some handmade chocolate truffles. You name it, I'll make it. I also love to teach cooking, and if you have been wanting to learn how to cook proper risotto, or get the cream into a boston cream donut, I am your guy.
Stories: While I may be young, I have spent a lot of time traveling, and would love to spend an evening chatting about our lives.
Outdoors: Whether you are looking advice on what type of gear you need to get started in the outdoors, or a friend to go adventure with, I would love to help.
A quiet, peaceful nights rest: I am a non-snorer, easy sleeper, who needs little more than a floor and pillow to be happy for the night.
