Hey everyone!

My name is Alex and I'm currently finishing up my Mechanical Engineering Degree at Dalhousie University. I grew up on a small sheep farm located in a fishing village off the coast of Cape Breton Island.

My girlfriend Terryn and I will be backpacking through Europe between May 1st and 22nd. We're both very easygoing and open people, and more than willing to meet and talk over Skype to know you better if arrangements are made to stay with you. We're both excited to meet new people and experience the local culture!

Here's our itinerary below. The first date listed is the date we arrive, and the last date is the dated we're scheduled to leave each location:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to make connections and meet new people while I travel. Hopefully one day when my hosts visit Canada, I will be able to repay the favor.

I've had experiences WWOOFing in the UK and have found that it is much more valuable to stay with locals instead of hotels/hostels. Locals know the ins and outs of the area much better than any pamphlet that the hotel can provide.
