ABOUT ME

I am Alex, a 25 year old bloke from north London. Technically I'm from a place called Watford but its easier to say north London, plus it sounds cooler to say north London, anyway I digress. I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2010 after finishing my degree in Business Management, yawn. I wasn't always that boring. I first got my taste for the wider world when I was 18 and got myself on a plane to Oz & Nz. It was here I developed a taste for the past time otherwise known as travelling. I loved it! I loved meeting new people, I loved the prospect of being in place one day and somewhere completely different the next, I loved not being in wet, grey England. I took the stakes a little higher next time round with a life changing trip to India. It was here that I lost my interest in the 'Business Management' world, which was terrible timing as I was about to enter my all important third year. Hey you live and learn. Personal highlight was living on a house boat in Kashmir, despite the warnings from the Home Office, what do they know anyway!
Fast forward a couple of years and another degree, this time in Psychology, and I find myself in Medellin, Colombia. And wow. What a beautiful part of the world. So beautiful in fact I want to stay here as long as possible. Therefore to achieve this dream I need one thing, a teaching job. I am fully CELTA qualified and raring to go. I have experience of teaching in India which inspired me to do the CELTA. I love what I have seen so far in Medellin and won't go home until every penny in my account has escaped. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It was only 3 hours ago that I first heard the words couch surfing muttered. I enquired what this might be, a first I thought it was a state of mind but I soon found out it was actually a web based community where cool stuff happens. I guess it could also be a state of mind.

I'm a typical bloke I love football. I love all sport but I am a big football fan, part of the reason I came to South America was to sample the legendary atomsphere at the games.
I love music. All music. Live music. Back home i make sure I go to at least 2 gigs a month, otherwise I'm not happy. In the words of Johnny Cash get rythm when you get the blues...god bless that gentleman.
