My most profound long term dream is to one day invite all my favourite people from around the world to help me build and live in an intentional community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in meeting like-minded people and either helping them explore Tasmania or being helped to explore wherever I am at the time!

I love that couchsurfing is a thing, I mean, hostels are great and all, but this is much more ideal way to get to know people and places and its nice to not have to bring money into the relationship.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes are mostly folky, but I do delve into reggae, electronic and blues. I'm open to anything though really (favourite artist is a guy called Mason Jennings).

Movies.. I love anything by Hayao Myazaki or Wes Anderson, too many other random movies to mention..

I've always been quite into reading.
Kurt Vonnegut, Daniel Quinn andJames A. Michener have all made an impact on me.
Tom Robbins, Patrick Rothfuss and Tolkein have all taken me to strange and wonderful places...
My favourite philosophers to read are Aristotle, Erich Fromm and Soren Kierkegaard.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch-hiked from BC to Nevada with someone I'd just met to go to Burning Man. Didn't have a ticket but i found one on the ground in a little desert town called Gerlach.
Had some of the most intense and sad and beautiful experiences of my life.

I've been singing and playing guitar and writing songs for almost ten years. Would be happy to play music together/ give anyone a lesson!

I have a passion for philosophy and love to discuss ideas especially to do with living a more natural life (permaculture/community living etc.)
