ABOUT ME

I'm from the NE Scotland, near a small village called Ferness on the River Findhorn.
I'm fairly laid back, always looking for some adventure and fun.
My main line of work is as an industrial abseiler doing a variety of different jobs in different places with different people. It suits my traveling spirit, keeps me moving. I try and get away as much as possible, interested to see and learn more. One way to gain experience and develop as a person is to give it a go and learn from the result.
I never seem to feel content with living for more than a few months at a time in Scotland which is utterly absurd. There is so much to see here from East to West, the Highlands and out to the Islands. I love the people and pace of life especially out on the westcoast or on some of the islands. There isn't so much greed and money is used less where trading is possible. It is and always will be one of the most beautiful countries I've seen.

I hosted whilst i lived in NZ and had a couple of good surfing experiences when traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly great. It's a two way thing though. I find it extremely kind of people to make time and space for a traveller often at last minute. This site is brilliant!

Chengdu-Lhasa, 3 weeks, 2040 odd k's overland without permit.
Seeing a man getting hit in the face by a flying fish, really funny + we managed to keep it aboard and ate later.
