About Me
Before continuing onto further educational endeavors in The States in August of 2019, I decided to go and see the world. I prefer to stay with locals or expats when I'm traveling, as this is the best way to really experience a foreign culture. I have previously taught in the townships of South Africa where I also stayed with a host family, and the pleasantness of this experience led me to pursue teaching in different parts of the world. For the past six months, I have lived in Boutou, China where I have taught toddlers and university students alike. I wouldn't mind finding more teaching or language-practice opportunities along my journey, but in general, I am just looking for fellow adventurers along the road.
I have a passion for literature and half of my suitcase will usually consist of a wannabe-library. When I don't have my nose stuck in a book, I enjoy chatting with people of different cultural backgrounds: it's always a wonderful way of learning new things and exploring new settings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people - especially locals - wherever I go, and by using Couchsurfing, I figured that I would get to make more friends along the journey than by staying in hotels.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite book of all time is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, but I also enjoy reading anything from Hemingway, Dickens, Dostoevsky, and many more. I love the classic works of literature, but of more recent titles, I absolutely adore Amor Towles' A Gentleman in Moscow.
When it comes to movies, I am also prone to like the classics: The Godfather, Citizen Kane, or any James Bond movie. The 90s gave us a lot of my favourite titles: Fight Club, Good Will Hunting, and I should probably mention that I am embarrassingly fond of Titanic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved to China to become an English teacher (one of my best decisions so far)
Teach, Learn, Share
Sharing a cup of coffee with a fascinating stranger is one of life's true delights.
I can always help practicing English, or perhaps teach you a bit of Danish, if that should be of interest.
I like learning about new cultures and assistance in getting a better grasp of the local language is always welcome when I'm traveling.
I love sharing stories and experiences from traveling with the people I meet.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share funny stories, longlasting discussions about anything from Russian literature to contemporary politics, or perhaps just a cold beer.
