My name is Alex Nyman, I am an enthusiastic novice traveler looking to make my first venture across the ocean! I grew up in the High Desert of Oregon, U.S.A., in a small hick town known as Prineville. We have a really fun culture of rodeos, horseriding, and ranching. I tend towards the more nerdy side of life and have a huge passion for things like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc., which means I love to talk about it all!

I am on Couchsurfing because I want to take my first adventure overseas with my wife and we are trying to have the best local experience we can. Couchsurfing seems like the best way to do exactly that!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music! Especially folk, country, gospel, Christian, rock, funk, and acapella.

As for movies, I enjoy mind-benders, thrillers (but not horror), action, rom-coms, and comedies.

My favorite books are any in Brandon Sanderson's cosmere, especially The Stormlight Archives. Essentially, I just love fantasy.
