About Me
Hey everyone,
I'm a first time user on couchsurfing, so not entirely familiar with this whole world and what to expect. I'm in desperate need of a vacation (soon, unfortunately I won't get one until summer), and I want to get outside the box a little in how I unplug from daily life.
I'm a labor organizer and community activist, and I operate on the (possibly naive) belief that everyone is a potential radical and comrade (except fascists, of course).
I'm very calm and usually quiet, not shy but respectful and I try to always be a good host and guest.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to get outside the routine of daily life in a new way, and I want to explore places in probably the best way possible- with locals as my guide. I'm a terrible traveler when alone, so I'm hoping to make friends while I'm away from home and get something closer to an insiders look at a new town I haven't explored.

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently digging Ty Segall, King Gizzard, always Charles Mingus and Miles Davis, 60s Rolling Stones, etc. I need to read more fiction, but I am thoroughly enjoying a collection by Ursula K. Le Guin, otherwise I mostly have my nose in dense theory (anarchist and marxist usually), and it's so dry but I can't get enough of it. I'm having a hard time with movies these days because tv is so much better (I mean what movie can go as deep into a character as shows like Better Call Saul, etc.?)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share lots of stories, hospitality, and I love to cook!
