About Me
Hello! I'm a happy go lucky kind of person, working my way through a career in journalism but always on the look out for an adventure or new challenge.
I grew up in Cheshire, moved to Gloucestershire, went to Sunderland for uni, first worked in Bristol then moved to Northamptonshire and now Wolverhampton.
I love sport, especially football, and have an interest in African's colonial history. Boring, I know!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm going on a short break in November, flying to Dakar in Senegal and travelling down to Banjul in Gambia. Two problems. I speak basic French and I'm on my own travelling for the first time - so would love a bit of help when coming into Dakar!

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite music...... not everyone's cup of tea, but dance music. From Chemical Brothers to Tiesto to Happy Hardcore. If it has a good beat, I usually like it.
Love a good adventure film. Blood DIamond is probably my favourite.
Again, an interesting travelling book, I like. TIm Butcher's Blood River is very good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled across Colombia was an amazing, life-changing experience. Sounds sad, but also proud of my career and what I've achieved.
