About Me

Kia ora,

I am a young working professional passionate about travel and learning from people and different cultures.

This is my first time using Couchsurfing so apologies in advance for the lack of references. You can find out more about me here:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just booked a flight to San Francisco for next weekend, all the way from Auckland, New Zealand. It was a spare of the moment thing (I don't even have a valid passport or a visa yet). I am keen to meet new people and explore the city and learn more about it's people and history. Excluding Hawaii, this will be my first time in the United States. I am really excited to spend another Christmas and New Year's abroad.

Other places I've visited for Christmas include Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and the Amazon Rainforest, Peru. Other places I've visited for New Year's include Angkor Wat, Cambodia and Machu Picchu, Peru.

Music, Movies, and Books

Artists I'm currently listening to include: Aldous Harding; Liam Gallagher (attending his concert the night before I fly out); Bob Marley; Nina Simone; Sticky Fingers; King Princess; Daniel Caesar; Brittany Howard; Jacob Collier

Books I'm currently reading (at least trying to): The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck (it's on my bookshelf); The hidden life of trees (it's waiting for me at my local library)

Movies I've recently watched (and enjoyed):
The Invisible Guest (great ending); Bohemian Rhapsody; Greenbook; A Quiet Place; Us;

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my most memorable trips was travelling to Nepal and completing EBC, not long after my last exam rounding off four years at university. The scenery was amazing and the people I traveled with were awesome and inspiring. My highlight was taking on the challenge of Kala Patthar, waking up in the early hours to climb slowly and breathlessly up the never-ending hill, and witness the sunrise over the valley with Mount Everest in the distance.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about New Zealand history, culture and current affairs.
I am keen to learn new life skills (currently learning to cook slowly and learning to save slowly).
I am keen to share my love of cheap eats, have some decent conversations and share my goals for the next decade.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some of my travel stories, and my favourite places in New Zealand, one of the best countries in the world :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chile, Croatia, England, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Peru, Samoa, Slovenia, United Arab Emirates, United States, Viet Nam
