Overview
About Me
I'm very outgoing and love to meet new people and learn new things. On the weekends I can be found in Brisbane night scene drinking a cocktail and dancing to the latest electro dj. I'm a teacher of English and one of my hobbies is reading fiction, writing (reviews, mostly) and the theatre.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have recently traveled in Europe and stayed with some interesting hosts who showed me the best of their respective cities. I would like to return the favour and show you some of Brisbane - markets, night clubs, restaurants, beaches, art galleries, etc.
One activity I recommend while in Brisbane is to climb the storey bridge at sunset.
I will be your host to show you around and explain some cultural idiosyncrasies.
Hope you enjoy your stay in Brisbane! 😁😁

Have just finished The Wonder Lover by Malcolm Knox (an amazing new writer!). A big fan of Margaret Atwood and Stephen King. Looking forward to reading Perfume by Patrick Suskind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We are privileged to see extravagant electrical storms here in Brisbane, when the whole sky lights up but no rain falls. It's a wonder of sub tropics. 😁
Crossed the equator a few times
Fell out of a Cessna once (not while crossing the equator, luckily)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you many things about the English language and conversational Russian.
I would like to lean more about the different European countries that I will be traveling through I.e. language, customs. I believe you learn best through immersion, that's how I learned English, after all.
I have lead an eventful life. Some of it is tragic, some is incredible but it's never boring with me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you some Aussie slang, demonstrate what a "Bogan" does, make you a fantastic amaretto sour (if ure a refined drinker like yours truly 😜), show you some interesting dance moves, cook you Russian blini (my specialty - quick and yum but deff need an attitude to do it well).
I do English tutoring at home so I am willing to do this in exchange for some informal language teaching from you.
