Difficult, I like so much

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Sailing on a small two-man sailboat (29er) 3-4 km off the atlantic coast of a lonely island 1 motorboat hour from France's mainland, getting screwed by weather conditions and ultimately capsizing. Subsequent flipping of the boat damaged the sail's fragile ropes. My partner was native french, speaking little German or English and myself only speaking french rudimentary. Well, we did not feel we were in danger, but we worked intensely fixing the ropes while maintaining balance in the rough wind (we did capsize several times though). In the end it worked and we sailed with grotesque looking though functioning sails towards the island's coast like the biggest heroes on earth. Arriving at the beautiful archipelago the weather calmed down with the sun setting in our backs, our friends greeting us at the beach we felt safe, exhausted and tremendously happy.
