About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hitch-hiking around Europe, looking to volunteer at some nature projects and farms related to community development.

ABOUT ME

Easy-going and curious, always up for the next big thing. The travelling bug has well and truly caught hold of me and now I don't know if I could ever stop, hopefully I won't have to for a long time (like...ever).

Always up for trying new things and making a fool out of myself. History geek, mad dancer, outdoor enthusiast. I love anything in nature and I'm more of a quiet lifestyle kinda guy but I love going mad every once in a while when the need calls.

I take an interest in anyone who lives unconventionally or passionately. Watching someone who is a master in their field of interest is a true gift and is always inspiring. Maybe one day I will be in the position to inspire others, until then I will watch and learn.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet like-minded people from all over the world both by hosting and surfing and going to meetups.

Couchsurfing is amazing at bringing us closer together despite our differences from the outside, at the heart of it we're all wanderers looking to help each other along.

Interests

Hiking and camping, books, travel, history.

Anything outdoors related, especially if it is in a relaxing environment that allows me to slow down and appreciate the simple beauty of our world.

Currently interested in learning more about sustainable development (energy systems, community, agriculture etc) and large scale reforestation.

Meditation and yoga on and off. Trying to slow down in this often chaotic world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most books I read are fiction but I will read a non-fiction book if it is recommended highly. Especially if it's history or travel based. I love to recommend books and be recommended so if you like to read then we'll get along well!

Favourite movies would be anything Miyazaki-directed (Howls Moving Castle/Princess Mononoke etc) Drive (that soundtrack...), anything Sci Fi or mind-bending/exploratory.

Music wise, anything electronic (techno, new-wave, ambient/chill) and anything chill or folky. I will listen to anything at least once, I love to share and hear new music, show me what you love!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The skydive in Australia was hands-down one of the craziest things I've ever done for sure. The feeling cannot be described, If you get the chance do it!

I lived in a Hare Krishna community for a while as a WWOOFer. Very interesting experience that made me reflect and see a fascinating culture from the inside.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will cook (at least attempt to!), clean or do any other chores around the house that I can lend a hand to.

I can also provide details on what it is like to live in England (specifically the north) and advice on places to see in Europe and Australia/New Zealand/Asia etc

If you've ever wanted to hike in the Himalayas or ride a motorbike through Vietnam I'm your guy. I love helping others experience these adventures!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm bound to be able to show you some sick new music or book you might like and besides that I'm good for the usual travel tales and stupid jokes!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Nepal, New Zealand, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Viet Nam, Wales

Countries I’ve Lived In
