I love to travel and explore new places. Being a professional mariner has allowed me to satiate my wanderlust somewhat, but I know there are still so many places to see and so many new experiences yet to have.

People tell me I should write a book about my adventures, but I just feel like that would be awful pretentious. I feel like everybody has had some really great experiences in their life. Just because mine are a little bit different, doesn't necessarily make them more significant.

I think that it is just more fun to meet somebody and possibly make a new friend, than to simply slap a credit card on the counter and pay for a hotel room.

兴趣

I grew up spending a lot of time outdoors, hunting and fishing. The neighborhood I grew up in was just rural enough that I could shoot my bow and arrow in the backyard and not get in trouble. I got pretty good with it and I still love to get out to the archery range or go hunting when I can.

Other than that, I love anything that has to do with vehicles or transportation. I love to drive my car, I drive ships for a living, and I want to learn to fly. The only sport I'll sit and watch on TV is racing. Although, I don't really follow it.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

First thing that comes to mind is petting that tiger in the Philippines. I also helped rescue a bunch of sailors from a stranded Navy ship. I've done some pretty cool urban exploration in Detroit too.
