About Me

Hi there,
I recently quit my job at a bike collective to bike tour through Mexico, Central and South America with my first leg being from Mexico City to Barranquilla, Colombia. This is my first big trip that I'm beginning by myself, but I anticipate some of my other friends to meet up with me along the way. I can't wait to meet all the rad people in my travels!

Always seeking out the queer/punk/bike scenes in whichever city I stay in <3

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've couchsurfed in Seattle & Portland and I ended up becoming really close friends with one of my hosts, so I have a soft spot for this community network.

Interests

I love love love teaching people how to fix and build up their bikes. I also have been working at a ceramic studio and have been wheel throwing for about two years now. I can go out dancing every day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Reggaeton, folk, trap & Drake.
Books: Comic books, poetry and memoir are my favorite. Let's trade!
I don't watch many movies, but I like to go to the theater.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I biked from Austin, Texas to Monterrey, Mexico.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught undergraduate courses in queer & feminist activism that advocates anti-racist practices so I'm always willing to teach/share my experiences and knowledge or learn from you. My thesis was about queer Latinx artists in the United States, so I'm also very passionate about queer art, sex-positivity, menstrual activism, nude photography and all other things related to empowering ourselves. I've also tutored English to those who English is their second language, so I can help you there!

I also designed and led a grant writing seminar to a group of my co-workers in the collective I worked, if you need any advice on grant writing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a bike mechanic, I can diagnose and tune up your bicycle!
