I currently live in Charlotte, NC in a condo about 8 minutes from Uptown . I have an extra couch, fun atmosphere and short distance to some of the city‘s best attractions as well as plenty of suggestions for exploring the city.

After my Peace Corps service in Namibia ended in 2017 June, I decided to take a trip through Africa for a few months to regain my sense of wanderlust. Afterwards, I found myself in Europe, meeting old friends and gaining new ones. I would love to stay with you and get to know new people throughout my journey and change my sense of direction from backpackers and hostels. Cheers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having been a volunteer, I understand what it is like to travel on a budget. I have had amazing karma and met incredible people through hitch-hiking and taking opportunities to stay with new friends, and want to give that to others who might want to find a place to crash on their travels. Music: I know it is cliche, but I like everything from folk rock to hardcore metal to new age pop. Favorites include Brandi Carlisle, Eden, Disclosure, Childish Gambino.
My favorite thing is being introduced to new, awesome music from people.

Movies: Under the Skin, Fight Club, Memento, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Books: always reading. Currently, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Catch-22 and The Way of the Peaceful Warrior.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a four day kayaking/camping trip through Nkhata Bay in Malawi with some of my best friends from my Peace Corps service.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An open mind, exploring nature and desire to learn about you and the place you live. I will always leave a place better than I found it, and will easily mesh into your daily routine and specifications. Maybe even a little culinary action?
