About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to leave the world a little better than I found it.

ABOUT ME

I'd like to think they would say I am an incredibly passionate person, occasionally to my own detriment.

PHILOSOPHY

I'll take anything but apathy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a shared house with several non-CSers. However, I will try to make space for those who need it in Berkeley, especially those who share at least some of my political / social principles!
Also always game for practicing my (terrible) Spanish and French.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One short hitching trip through Central Europe.

Interests

Veganism, freeganism, activism, sociology, dumpster diving, anarchism, grad school, running, music.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Animal Liberation" by Peter Singer, "Waste" by Tristam Stuart, "Possibilities" by David Graeber.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I shouldn't misrepresent myself: I am a boring graduate student who spends most of his time reading books and staring at word documents. But if you meet me, be sure to ask about hitch-hiking out of Poland with a cadaver, having maggots surgically removed in Uganda, or why I can't really go back to South Carolina.

Countries I’ve Visited

Ecuador, Germany, Thailand, Uganda

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, United Kingdom, United States
