ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Paris and in the US (NJ). I am moving from Lausanne to Oxford. I spent the past years living in Lausanne, Switzerland where I worked for a publisher. I love traveling and discovering new places. Experiencing the outdoors is an essential for me: hiking, snowboarding, biking, running, diving, climbing. I'm an outspoken proponent of conservation. I know how to have a good time out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went couch surfing several times in Vermont when I took part in ski trips. I spent 1 month in Lausanne couchsurfing when I was trying to find a room in an apartment to move into (which is nearly impossible here) Other then that I've done a bunch of couchsurfing through friends.

snowboarding, swimming, hiking, climbing, scuba diving, adapting to new places, improving my Spanish, and discovering new cultures.

My passion has always been in observing the natural world, the wild and its myriad of marvelous and aw-inspiring biodiversity, ecological interactions and sheer beauty. My interests are underlined with a strong focus on complex problems such as overharvesting, habitat degradation and deforestation, poaching and illegal wildlife trade, and biodiversity loss.

Music: Very varied really. Electro, House, some Trance, rock, metal, alternative, blues, jazz, latin, rap.

Movies: The Big Short, Sideways, Hangover, Me Myself and Irene, Whatever Works, Boondock Saints, Snatch, Trainspotting, scarface, the godfather, les visiteurs, Le dîner de cons, the Michael Moore movies, pulp fiction, animal house, l'auberge espagnole et les poupees russes, and so many more.

Food: French, Italian, Turkish, Mexican, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese.

Hiking through the cloudforest's (Monteverde, Costa Rica) very wet, foggy, and chilly air, and the very dense understory for an entire day on a closed hiking trail.

I can teach French, English, or the Spanish I know (if you're a beginner). I can also share my knowledge about ecology, conservation, and sustainability issues.
