I'm really easy going and responsible. I like travelling and meeting other travellers as much as possible because it makes the world a less intimidating and more friendly place.

Any where I stay I would be more than happy to contribute to grocery money and cook dinner/clean/generally help out.

Interests

I usually have at least one guitar or musical instrument within reach and put up with the extra bulk in my travels because I know it's always worth it when you happen to find yourself at a random bonfire, need extra cash, or have been walking around all day writing and humming a new song in your head and need to get it out.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love independent films of all types as well as classic art-house and usually fall for the slow contemplative ones that most people hate...
When it comes to music I love a distinctive yet familiar sound, and that can inspire both emotional and social change whether it is classic country, modern indie-rock, or your friend's college band I heard in a dark basement one night.
For books I really like modern and post-modern American Lit... I try and keep up with current fiction too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking through a poor, Kurdish neighborhood (against most local's advice not to) in Izmir, Turkey to the the top of Kadifekale (Velevet Castle) and seeing one of the most amazing, off the tourist-map, sights on the Aegean...
...New Year's Eve in Mexico around a bonfire of locals, ex-pats, and fellow travellers...
And anytime I come back to my beautiful hometown on Vashon Island, Wa...
I've learned while travelling it's people you meet and the little things that really leave the biggest impressions; not just the tourist sights. Without a little danger, travelling just isn't as fun
