About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking for the land of always summer.

ABOUT ME

It's rather hard, really, writing down anything about me. I can't label myself in any way, but since I am supposed to, I guess I'm an interesting person, intelligent and charismatic, the kind of guy that wouldn't say "no" if getting called out for a beer at 2 AM. I'm a bit obsessed with good music, cycling on long distances alone or with a friend or two. I'd like to know a bit about every culture I have the chance to interact with. I'm into dancing, long conversations and I enjoy cooking for my friends and guests. A particular aspect is that I love making crepes (or pancakes). It's my way to connect with new people and it's been proven in the past that "crepe" parties are not to be joked with if I am in the zone :)

PHILOSOPHY

To quote one of my favourite writers "What makes Earth feel like hell is our own expectation that it should feel like heaven". So I like to see my world as it is, without adding more or less, not attempting to change something that works already (unless it comes about putting an end to the famine and saving the Panda bears, I would definitively try to change things into better). I believe balance makes life beautiful so as long as I keep myself from crossing on red lights too often I can maintain a certain level of happiness. I'm a people person but also an undercover introvert.

"Beer
It is the drink of men who think
And feel no fear nor fetter
Who do not drink to senseless sink
But drink to think the better."
~Anonymous

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've actively joined CS at the end of August 2013, in Paris. Already hosted more people than I can count but as of late I had to take it easy as I grew tired of getting copy paste requests asking just for a free place to sleep. I enjoy interacting with my guests, spending time together and learning new things about each other. So please, if you're sending me a couch request, remember to write me a short story containing the words "hobbits" "grass" and "horse poop". Failing to do so means I will 99% decline you. Can't really accept a stranger in my house that is not even having the decency to read about their host at first.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I believe I make for a good host, all of my guests have been happy in my presence and I am doing my best making sure you have everything you need (apart from just a place to sleep). I'm also up for hanging out, talking over a beer or walking around the city looking for that nice hidden spots that most tourists fail to see

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Taxi Driver, Natural born killers, Reservoir Dogs, The Big Lebowski, No country for old men, In Bruges, 2001 - A space odyssey . The list doesn't end here, but if you need to know more, just ask!

Books. I'm into fantasy & SF sort of literature. Asimov - "The naked sun", "A song of ice and fire" saga by RR Martin, "Malazan book of the fallen" saga by Steven Erikson, though I haven't completed it, still in the process. I devour stuff coming from Chuck Palahniuk, Cormac McCarthy & Orhan Pamuk.

Music.. It's hard to chose a certain style. I like grunge rock, dancing on DnB, raving on Prodigy but also chilling on some Trip-hop/downtempo, drinking a beer staring at the walls and listening to blues. Too much to write here, I guess you'll figure it out if you're interested. Music is a big chunk of my life, helped me enormously where others have failed.

To name a few bands: Pantera, Metallica, O.Children Prodigy, Dirtyphonics, Madrugada, Lost in Kiev, Netsky, God is an Astronaut, Tom Waits, The Glitch mob, Fakear, Daughter, Alt-J, Karma to Burn, Pretty Lights, Gramatik, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, The War on Drugs, Deftones, Gary Clark jr, Edward Shape and the Magnetic Zeros, Massive Attack, Elbow, The Kills, Jack White (and all his projects), Tool, Puscifer (well, Maynard!!!) Archive, Toundra, and many many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completing one trip (from Bucharest to Vama-Veche, Romanian sea-side) on a bicycle, in a single day. That would be somewhere around 260 kilometres.

Swimming across Danube river 12 times in a single day.

Working in the gaming industry, it's quite a feeling entertaining millions of people, I've been participating in more than 20 projects (Assasins Creed, Watchdogs, The Division, etc) and I love every minute of it.

Being in Paris during the "Fete de la Musique". Party, party, and again party everywhere!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good with bicycles, I can share some of my experience with people planning a velo-trip.

I want to learn surfing (the real thing, not the CS :p) and I am hoping to visit a country where I can start performing. I am also in the process of learning guitar and hoping to start on drums (neighbours, beware!) .

What I Can Share with Hosts

Firstly, common sense, it's something that people tend to lack nowdays, then perhaps a good meal, a good bag of stories, a walk around the city, you name it :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, France, Germany, Serbia, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In
