About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Humanity at its finest.

ABOUT ME

I'm funny, well-mannered, and easy going. In fact, I'm anything but high maintainence. Five years of playing ultimate frisbee have taught me a lot about traveling with a group, taking quick showers, and sleeping on less than cushy surfaces. I will always be up for a late night discussion, an early morning coffee, or outdoor activities. I'm always ready to help a friend. My nerdiness comes out in group situations, as I'm a computer scientist, and I smile all the time.

Interests

I love talking and food and outdoor activites. I also have an affinity for comedy TV shows and movies (my twin sister is a film maker). I'm not particularly a risk taker (you'll never find me sky diving!) but I love being adventurous - making spontaneous trips, backcountry skiing, or trying new food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moment one: Finding an outdoor art "gallery" down an alley way in Berlin, Germany. Sculptures made of every day objects or garbage, towering colorful blocks of aluminum and old bicycles, and the local artists painting away to live guitar music. The organic nature of the street art in that city continues to haunt me, and it changed the way I think about art.

Moment two: Sitting atop Vasquez Ridge in Winter Park, Colorado, USA, with my twin sister, after hiking up with our skis and lunches in the middle of a bright January day. I've never felt so happy in my life.

Moment three: Watching this video for the first time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQRRnAhmB58. Sure it's just a youtube video, and sure I don't know any of those guys, but it was stunning to me the first time, the second time, and the hundredth time. It evokes hope in the bleakest of contexts, and happiness and joy in the face of an otherwise neutral day.
