I had a great experience couch surfing a few years ago in college, and thought I'd return the favor by opening up my home to fellow travelers.

Generally, I like to open up my home to folks who have shared their home with other surfers in the past or those who plan on doing so in the future. I see Couchsurfing as a way to learn about a culture by spending time with someone, rather than a quick and free way to spend the night in a new town.
