About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Filling the unforgiving minute with 60 seconds worth of distance run. Putting a renewable energy project through planning permission and becoming everything I can be!
ABOUT ME
Hey everyone,
I'm Alex, born a Welshman to English parents who's ancestry is actually Italian. I've lived in the same house in the same location on this mighty fine planet all my 21 years of age. I'm just another individual on this baffling journey whose looking to learn about himself, the world, and to help others out along the way. I keep fit, I eat healthy, and if I live until 112 years old I'll see in the new century and write a book about it.
I'm open to new opportunities and perspectives, I want to learn new skills from all sorts of people, and share what knowledge I have with them to change our lives for the better.
The world is changing far to fast and I would like to see some of the best bits before they're gone.
PHILOSOPHY
I live to learn, strive and survive. Enlightening myself, becoming everything I can be before its too late, making others happy, and departing knowing that I did everything I could to make a difference to the planet, to the lives of my loved ones and to those who never even knew I existed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently planning my travels, but once I have returned and settled into a career I will be offering up my couch which will most likely be somewhere around the coast of Britain.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had any official CouchSurfing experiences as yet. I have stayed with a family in Karlstad, Sweden for a week and a half and found that to be a wonderful experience in culture, language, and activity.

Music, Movies, and Books
Films: Anything out of the ordinary that makes me really think, that makes me laugh and leaves me smiling for 24 hours afterwards. Films that emphasise the potential for good in people. Films that confuse me right up until the end.
Music: rock, classical, alternative, ambient, D&B, folk, celtic, african, electronic, some dance. Hardly anything too mainstream.
Books: Terry Pratchett, Ben Elton, David Gemmell, Ray Mears, Dalai Lama, Douglas Adams.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) I blockaded at Faslane Nuclear Base in Scotland to protest against the renewal of the Trident Nuke Weapons System but was ironically arrested for 'Breaching the Peace' 2)I spent 4 weeks volunteering and travelling in Ghana in summer 2008 3)I attained a 1st grade in a BSc in Renewable Energy 4) I've sailed around Greek island on a 38ft cruiser yacht for a week...Bliss!
Teach, Learn, Share
By the time I meet many of you, I will have finished my degree in renewable energy. Teaching you about it, its benefits, debunking its myths, why its needed and what you can do to create a sustainable world will be my contribution.
I'd love to learn how to make things. Clothing, baskets, candles, furniture, sweet sweet music!
