I'm an engineer living in Boston originally from Illinois. I love learning about new cultures and languages and am always itching to travel somewhere new. I spent a year abroad in France, a summer in Spain, and a month in Israel. I really value learning about new places from the perspective of locals, and I’m glad Couchsurfing makes that possible! I think you should never miss an opportunity to travel. You never know if you're going to get it again, so you should take advantage of the here and now.

I am also very active and love movement and performing arts. I dance ballet and am learning various circus apparatus. Whenever visiting a new place, I definitely have to see some sort of performance (musical, theatre, dance, etc). Let me know if you have any recommendations!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to use CS to meet new people and learn about different cultures. Every person is different, so there's always more you can learn about a culture from meeting new people. I have only done couchsurfing a few times, but I have had penpals in other countries. It was a very rewarding experience, and I hope that by couchsurfing I can actually meet people face-to-face and learn more about each other's cultures.

I went skydiving. It was one of the most terrifying experiences, but I loved it at the same time!
