CURRENT MISSION
To expand my freelance illustration business
ABOUT ME
I've been a caricature artist for 10 years now(yikes!). Yup, big faces with small bodies, THAT guy. After dabbling in carpentry and human service related jobs, I finally finished my art degree and somehow ended up as a caricaturist! It's not a dream job, but I enjoy entertaining folks with my art AND wit and it certainly suits my attention span, or lack thereof. I've also recently gotten back into working with troubled youths as a counselor in a non-profit residential home. It is essentially charity work and it feels good to contribute to a community(and it helps with my compassion). When I'm not drawing caricatures at my retail location at an event(party, wedding, etc) or counseling kids in need, I am typically at the gym or the bar. I also LOVE the outdoors and spend a lot of time on two wheels, usually in the woods. I dabble in yoga(Bikram) and meditation, but they are difficult disciplines to give into entirely, I've found. I'm a man who enjoys his routine and comforts. I need my exercise and love good food, coffee and beer.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm trying to find the middle path. It is easy to beat oneself up for not being perfect and i think the real challenge is finding peace with who one is. Perfectionism can easily become extremism.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like movies that make you laugh and cry. I hate mindless, predictable, formulaic media of all forms. I'm not much of a reader---always been the visual type---but I like adventure novels like the Richard Sharpe and James Clavell period pieces.
