About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet people and learn everything.

ABOUT ME

I'm very mellow and open minded. If I could sum up a life philosophy it would be Joseph Campbell: 'Follow your bliss.'

I want to go to law school in , prune grape vines in the Rhone, play mandolin at a county fair in Tennessee, go fishing in Norway, and just go to the absolute apogee for everything I've ever loved doing.

My drive is my sense of history behind a place. I went to Machu Picchu as a kid and standing on the cliff face over looking the city is- I've been told I don't say this well- a not incredible experience.

In fact it's very credible! It's the most credible and amazing thing I've ever experienced. I'm just another insane primate living on a rock hurtling through an incomprehensible amount of empty space.

Life is good.

PHILOSOPHY

Bobby McFerrin. You know the song.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a week in Puerto Rico with other CSers. I never expected to meet anybody, just to see the sights and have fun.

I was very wrong. I end up traveling with a group of wonderful people who made it a fantastic experience.

Interests

I like talking about just anything really, and if I'm not familiar with the subject you better believe I have a bunch of questions. I usually play the devil's advocate but I'm really just Switzerland in most of these things.

People fascinate me and the more of them I can get to learn how to surf, the better.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a bit of all music. Merengue to bluegrass to trip-hop to classical. As long as it's good music I can dig any genre.

My favorite books are East of Eden and The Count of Monte Cristo.

Magnolia, Pulp Fiction, The Matrix, High Noon, are just a few. Too many to list!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach CPR, I speak fluent American English, can cook fairly well, and surf decently. I have a passion for science and history, which is why I studied both in college, and love discussing those.

My profession is wine type stuff but I don't like to lecture, I just tell silly stories about wine really.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, France, Italy, Peru, United Kingdom
