I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and grew up in Shanghai. I spent about 4 years thereafter in Champaign, Illinois, pursuing my Bachelors degree. While my major is electrical engineering, I picked up German as a 1st-year undergrad. I spent a little over a year in between as an exchange student in Munich, Germany.

Currently I live in Zürich, Switzerland.

I went on a CS roadtrip across the US midwest to Canada during Thanksgiving 2012, and it was an awesome experience. I met interesting people and went to many cool places. I thought it was crazy that in a city you've never been before, a person you've never met would welcome you to his/her home and show you a good time.

So when I got a futon for my small apartment in Munich, I came back as a host to return the favor. I got the chance to host people from Korea, Russia, Brazil, just to name a few. Showing the travelers around brought me a renewed sense of wonder to a city I grew accustomed to, and it was a surprisingly rewarding experience.
