ABOUT ME
I recently finished graduate school (business) and then spent some time working in politics. Now I am living with family and deciding what my next professional steps will be and where to live (NYC? California? Somewhere else entirely?)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I started using couchsurfing and another similar travel/host organization (Servas) in 2007. Since then, I've mostly stayed in homes within the U.S. and across Europe. Meeting people who are local and actually live in the places I visit is one of the most rewarding parts of travel, in my opinion, and this is the main reason I like to Couchsurf. I like to hear about history, culture, politics, and recommendations from my hosts that all relate to their home. Beyond that, one of the best things about couchsurfing is the opportunity to meet people from around the world who are curious, open, respectful...each conversation about art, social justice, travels, and life help me appreciate our shared global citizenship.
At different times in my life, I have been able to host couchsurfers and travelers in my home but unfortunately haven't been able to for a few years. I'll start up again when I have a home that accommodates visitors easily!
