ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back, friendly, trusting, respectful person, who wants to see/feel/be as much as possible. My Father took me overseas a lot when I was young and cheap and that gave me a healthy passion for the world and traveling it. I play music, I write, I think way too much, I love going out to see art and music shows and jamming with people I've never met before. I love finding out about things and understanding.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in re-incarnation, I believe we can do anything... which is why we need to be responsible (sometimes at least) and respectful. I agree with the Buddhist's in that all life is suffering and yet we have the power to change and mend, so I think the great challenge of life is just to be happy... through the suffering, just as it is important to share and be kind.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

People have been surfing on our Lounge Room couch for the last year (actually it's been a lot longer, but anyway), in fact out of the last 12 months I think the couch has been free of peeps for only about two and a half months. That's a lot of couch surfing!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Waking up the next morning with someone else's feet in my face. Haven't really couch surfed since, but Alison and I laughed about it over breakfast later!

Interessen

I am immensely interested in all things unusual and intricate. I like finding out all the wonderful ways that people have learnt to survive and flourish in this world. Actually I'm just as interested in animals, especially PENGUINS.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Watching movies for a living means I'm pretty inundated with choice (I actually cried at a Richard Gere film last night, I know I know) however, off the top of my head, I loved The Fall, Up In The Air, Magnolia, Leaving Las Vegas, The Three Colours Trilogy and Manga, Tarantino and David Lynch movies.
My music collection is vast and includes Animal Collective, Arcade Fire, Björk, Bon Iver, Clash, Cold War Kids, Daft Punk, David Bowie, Delays, Elbow, Fever Ray, Fleet Foxes, Gomez, Gorillaz, Grizzly Bear, Hot Chip, Kings Of Convenience, Leonard Cohen, M83, Neil Young, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Nina Simone, Radiohead, Ray Charles, School Of Seven Bells, Seekae, The Sonics, Sigur Rós, Spiritualized, TV On The Radio and Yeasayer.
I've always absolutely loved Books and especially science fiction... Read the Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter Hamilton, that's a Good Read!!!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Just the other week I saw a UFO, it was NOT a rocket... it was weird!
but way, way before that I (the band) released an album in France at the age of twenty, so that was a crazy experience, as was recording a song with the bass player from Silverchair, Chris Joannou. These are just off the top of my head.
