About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm quite spontaneous and up to anything exciting and extraordinary. The main life philosophy for me now is "living the moment"
I grew up by the sea in the Crimea which taught me to find chill and harmony.
Lived in one of the most beautiful and cultural Russian cities - St. Petersburg.
Currently doing a Master's in Arts and Heritage in a cute, international student Dutch town Maastricht <3
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
uiHOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Attending CS events, surfing, and hosting as soon as I get back from my study abroad experience
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2012 I tried couchsurfing for the first time, 7 of us travelled to Riga and Tallin, and had one of the best trips of our lives thanks to our hosts. CS helps to see the world as a better place, where instead of borders and conflicts you find friendships, hospitality and trust.
Interests
I like art a lot (especially modern art of the 20th ct) and that is why I really enjoy visiting art exibitions, going to lectures in museums and chose to do my Master in this field. Also I love theater and used to be involved in various drama studios and plays but now I'm mainly a watcher. Dancing, especially salsa, reggaeton and dancehall make me trully happy, I want to dance everywhere: at parties, dance classes, on top of the mountain and on the beach:) And of course my life would be half not as bright without travelling and meeting people from different parts of this exciting world!

Music, Movies, and Books
Kerouac!!! Big Sur, Dharma Bums - genius! Movies and poems of the Beatnik era as well:) I enjoy Bradbury (his Dandelion wine and 451 Farenheit of course), sometimes I can't stop reading Fitzgerald (this side of paradise) and Hemingway (Moveable Fiest) and feel like I'm in the beautiful and exciting 1920s.
Kurt Vonnegut has some interesting thoughts for me.
Orwell really impressed me.
Russian literature is great - Dostoevsky said it all. Then Dovlatov and Bulgakov added the rest.
Music: recently I'm a lot into Latin music, always like reggae and classic rock, Russiand and Ukrainian music for its poetic lyrics and Balkan music for the crazy folk melodies. Not a fan of techno and electronic (which makes life in the Netherlands quite hard)
