ABOUT ME
Hard exercice to describre yourself! Even if it was in french ;) But here are key information about us :
The profile is Alexis' profile but we are a french couple travelling together, aged 32 and 30.
We are from Brittany, in France, and we've been travelling for one year in New Zealand, then Indonesia and our last stop before going back home is Iran.
Alexis is a social worker, and worked with young people in suburbs with different kinds of trouble, with integration most of the time.
Violette is a baker, but has not always been : before she studied social work and did the practice mostly in the exclusion questions.
We are both very adaptable and interested in many things, and even if, let's face it, we are a little disconnected in our travel, we like to be well aware of what's going on in the world and in our society.
We are fond of music, lots of types of music.
What we both love : eating, cooking, having family or friends for dinner and spend the afternoon in our kitchen to cook together for them, watching movies, watching series like Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul (and Grey's anatomy but just Violette!), hiking, scubadiving, horse-riding, travelling.
We used to live with other people and in Violette's flat they hosted people with their flatmates (but it's on another profile, the one of her flatmate).
Now we are at an age when we think of having a family so we will take our own house or flat back home.
We are from the coast and the countryside and both grew up in farms, but we have a citylife (small town) at home and still want it for the next years.
To sum up : we are active and simple people, who love their friends and families and need interaction with other people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Booking a hotel room can be quite easier than mailing people, waiting for their answer etc. as on couchsurfing.
In New Zealand we lived in our van and with families who hosted us in exchange of some free work (gardening, building, farming, beekeeping) that we did for them, in Indonesia we stayed in homestays, but in Iran, part of our intentions to discover the country is to discover the people.
Our travel through Iran wouldn't be complete without staying and really meeting the people from Iran.
We are independent and won't stick to you just waiting for you to plan our visits don't worry, we know that people have their own life.
But more than a bed, what we look for with couchsurfing is meeting the people and spend some time with them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Diving with the manta rays
Teach, Learn, Share
As we are flexible in general, for us spending time to talk and exchange about the different ways of life, understanding a religion, cooking with people, are good chances to teach to each other, and we learned a lot during our respective previous travels through people we stayed with.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We don't know if we have anyrhing special to offer, except that when we stay with people we usually cook something for them : Alexis' salted creamy caramel with crêpes is wonderful and Violette can bake fresh bread for your breakfast!
