About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Happiness is a state of mind. The journey is the destination.
ABOUT ME
I'd like to say I'm a traveller at heart, convinced that there is much more to life than a 9to5 job in a big city - but I have a feeling that it wouldn't sound very original here...
Anyway, so I'm living in Paris since last September; being French, I thought I should try the Parisian life at least once in my life. I find it an exhausting city, at the same time beautiful, time consuming, scary some time, but I love being here for now. The metro can drive you crazy, the price of the beer as well, but that's definitely a lively and exciting place to be!
Other than that, I just came back from Copenhagen where I lived for three years, and were in Sydney and Bangkok before that. Don't know if that's enough to describe me... But I guess that'll have to do, seeing there's not so much space left!
PHILOSOPHY
My stay in Thailand when I was 20 changed the way I've seen and lived life ever since. Once a serious student, then a less serious student at university, I learned from Thai ppl about bouddhism, meditation, and how true happiness was not automatically related to the professional success as our society makes us believe. There's of course a lot more to say on the subject, but I'll leave that for one after-party drunk conversation!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting, surfing, meeting new ppl... I do miss the interculural exchange and the meeting-new-ppl-every-day lifestyle from my years abroad...
I'm a terrible cook (so much for the French stereotype),but always up for discovering new places, meeting new people, and having a good glass of wine with friends(maybe I am a bit of a French stereotype actually) . So I'll try my best to take you to the cosiest and down-to-earth eating places, little jazz bars, and make you feel at home in Paris!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only just joined CS...Not too sure why I didn't do it before though.
My CS exp so far has only been crashing on the sofa of friends abroad, or friends of friends... And meeting the couchsurfers staying at my friends'places: a Californian couple coming back from a meditation retreat in Nepal, and other great ppl I learned a lot from.
Interests
Traveling to unknow places, reading, writing, the ocean (one day I'll be a marine biologist), practicing yoga, gospel music, thai food, meditation, impro theatre, a morning cup of coffee, laughing, painting.
