About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the world and to contribute to its advancement

ABOUT ME

A senior student at Moscow State University of International Relations,
really interested in my field of studies.

A globalist by nature, I favor the idea of international contacts and
cross-border relations. I am always eager to be part of international
communities and to contribute to their development.

Some people consider me a romantic person. It's up to you whether to agree with them or not. I believe I'm quite practical and stand firmly
on the ground.

Though not extremely sociable, I enjoy good companies and can easily fit in almost every group. I am a good listener and an even better
storyteller.

I don't smoke and don't drink alcohol. At all, really.

I find pleasure in helping other people and learning from them. I am never satisfied with what I've already achieved and strive for something better.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that the sense of life is neverending progress: each of one is part of this process, and once you stop, you fall out of the crowd. To enjoy the pleasures of the life one needs to improve oneself constantly and to help others follow this way.

However, I am very tolerant when it comes to one's personal beliefs - progress is based on diversity, no doubt.

And yes, I'm quite sure there's no God. The world is beautiful enough on its own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm eager to meet guests here in Moscow and to help them do the sightseeing, not to mention treating them to a cup of tea. However, I am currently unable to provide housing to anyone due to our dormitary rules.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am totally new to CS, but I hope I will become a devoted member sooner or later)

Interests

Many of them: from foreign languages and intellectual contests to sports and science. I'm keen on table tennis, rifle shooting and swimming, read a
lot on astronomy and technology, study sociology and international relations. I play the guitar (poorly, though) adn sing (pretty well). I enjoy debates, both online and real-life (they are always constructive
discussions - no flame!) to enchance my knowledge of the world. I quite enjoy surfing the Web and I'm well-aware of many of the Internet subcultures. And, of course, travelling (I hope I will be able to devote
more time to it in the future).

Once I'm tired, I tend to stay indoors, either sleeping (I'm really good at it!), reading or watching movies/animes. Though it doesn't happen really often - my dorm roommates are hyperactive and tend to involve me in their crazy plans. Honestly, I don't mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

As fas as literature is concerned, I'm a sci-fi fan. My favourite authors are Asimov, Bradbury and Simak, though I really enjoy others' works as well. I also enjoy historical books. My favourite books are probably "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand and "1984" by George Orwell.

My music tastes are not that exquisite, though I do like clasical music (especially piano, violin, guitar and orchestral music) and used to attend concerts quite frequently. My favourite composers are Grieg, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Chaikovsky.
Of course I listen to modern music too: from movie soundtracks to Russian alternative rock. My favourite Western performers are Keane, Sum41, Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars.

My favourite movies include (but aren't limited to!) "Inception", "Cruel Intentions", "Bicentennial Man", "Pay It Forward", "Equilibrium", "The Prestige", "Shawshank Redemption", "I am Legend", "The Butterfly Effect", "The Green Mile", "Artificial Intelligence"
