About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovering sides of myself yet to be unfolded, hopefully dropping few self restrictions along the way...

ABOUT ME

I am 31. I leaved in Athens almost all my life. Did some travelling in Europe, hope to do some more. I also lived in Dublin for 2,5 months, in a time when Dublin had gather youth from all around the world, since there was a lot of job offering at the time.
I always feel that getting to meet and socialise with people from other countries, broadens ones mind, getting one to feel a little more like a citizen of the world, lose some restrictions, as I already mentioned in the "mission" column, band stereotypes, understand more about oneself.
I could probably be described as a quiet person leading a quiet life.

PHILOSOPHY

I could write a book about that...Well I guess I don't want to live my life in fear. Bad things can happen but I don't like thinking of the world as a hostile place to be in. Fear deprives us of the right and privilege of achieving happiness. We should pursue it and help others do so if we can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One more tessera in the big CS mosaic! I am no crusader, but it is true that borders stand primarily in our mind...Plus having someone expecting you and offer tips is the best way for a traveller to avoid getting exploited.
Besides, all the best things in life are for free, so said a friend.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just been couch surfing in Ireland and it was great! I really think it is essential for a person to have an experience of both sides (hosting and couch surfing, that is).

Interests

I like excursions, spending time with friends, having good food, drinking coffee, tee, beer and joking. I also like dancing, any kind, latin I am not crazy about, though, I have to confess.
I like discovering local music from around the world, the kind that you don't get to hear on the radio because it is simply not commercial.
I like art exhibitions, going to the movies, swimming in the sea in summer and gathering seashells; lying on the grass is a favourite as well.
I like mending clothes, making jewellery, caressing my cat, taking care of my house.
Apart from art, I have an interest in architecture, archaeology, glossology and storiology.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies! Independed american productions and mainstream european, preferably. I can't watch war movies, however good.
Music! Almost anything but the low quality commercial of any kind.
Books: Do comic books count? (Joking!) Not much of a reader, I'm afraid. Right now it is more of local poetry and an essay on the town planning history of Athens, that I read in a very slow rate.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is manage on my own, scary eh?

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach some basic greek...Or give few cooking tips? I must be honest by saying nothing comes to mind right now...But will get back as soon as I remember something!
