I absolutely love the outdoors and hiking, I like to get into the mountains whenever I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Wherever I am living I always use couchsurfing to meet other people in the area, whether they are permanent residents or simply passing through. In the last few years some of the best and most meaningful friendships I have made have been through couchsurfing, and ultimately that is what it is all about for me: the people. Although every single person I have met has been unique, I find there is some uniting quality about all those on couchsurfing, and that quality lends to a type of people whom I simply love to surround myself with.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my first passion, I like a whole range of stuff, mainly on the rock side of things.
I also used to write music and play guitar in a band, the creative output I had and performing gigs I miss a lot!

I also take a lot of pleasure in reading, Some of my favourite writers include Jack Kerouac, Hunter S. Thompson, Douglas Coupland and Kurt Vonnegut. Vagabonding by Rolf Potts is my bible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing at the top of Kilimanjaro was definitely a high point.

Hiking through the Atlas mountains to summit the highest peak was also an incredible experience.

I have hitchhiked Canada coast to coast from Vancouver to the most eastern point of Newfoundland.
