I am currently finishing up school in Columbia, Missouri with a degree in Environmental Science with dreams of one day being a midwife herbalist ( : I am deeply committed to serving and being with Spirit so most of my life consists of listening and moving in the direction that feels heart felt. I am on couchsurfing because I love to travel and would love to do it in a way that I can connect with local people!

Interests

I recently started belly dancing and am falling deeply in love with it. I have also been a writer for the majority of my life but it has recently taken a back seat to dance. Above all else though, nature is my deepest love and companion.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies are probably the Lord of the Rings Series, Titanic(sappy, I know), and Miyazaki's films.
My favorite music right now is honestly just kirtan and medicine songs. I haven't been listening to a lot of normal music as of late.
The same goes for books. The only types of books that I have been reading lately have been spiritual ones. Pema Chodron, Paramahansa, the Bhagavad Gita is a favorite for sure. Various texts really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well the most transformative time in my life was last year when I spent two months in a Soto Zen Buddhist monastery and I am about to return for another extended stay. I don't know if that is amazing for others but it was amazing for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach others about meditation and can help others emotionally process if anyone would be into that.

I would love to learn more about plants and sustainability as well as natural healing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share Reiki healing with my hosts. I can also help around the house, love on pets and babies and tend to plants.
