Overview
About Me
Call me Lex.
I am a recent college graduate, world traveler, citizen of earth, trying to figure out my dang life. But aren't we all? I'm a very welcoming person, probably a little too optimistic and idealistic when it comes to some things, but I feel I learn and experience the most from having these outlooks on life.
I have only a handful of friends, but they are the best people I have ever met in my life. I enjoy getting to know people most by just hanging out, sharing interests and ideas and laughing over the loud music playing in the background.
My closest friends call me a ray of sunshine. I'm calm, cool and collected, super chill, and without a doubt high on life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I pretty recently just joined this crazy cool network of travelers and adventurers. As of right now, I am initiating my years of exploration, and I figured, what better way to meet people while doing so than couch crashing.
Interests
I'm very into open-minded people with a spiritual and positive outlook on life.
If I could spend everyday of my life outdoors, I absolutely would. I believe in the concept of man living in harmony with nature, rather than against it like so many humans do. I'm a fairly active environmentalist, hoping to one day live a fully sustainable life off the land. I love to hike, garden, rock climb, kayak, long board, snowboard, camp or just roll around in the grass for hours on end.
I love the smell of rain and campfires and above all I LOVE LIVE MUSIC. I am happiest when I am experiencing music in person, and dancing as hard as I can. I attend music festivals and local shows as often as I can--keep an eye out for me, I'm the curly-haired blond groovin hard.
In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, painting, making jewelry and making pals. I'm a big hugger and I try to radiate as many positive vibes as I possibly can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent four months in Ecuador studying Spanish and broadening my horizons. Spent weeks in Peru. And lived a month in Southeast Asia, volunteering abroad and working alongside locals in remote communities teaching English and about sustainability.
Becoming integrated with a new way of living and a culture so different from my own is truly the craziest thing I've done thus far. I'm still a youngin, so I haven't had many opportunities for "amazing things" quite yet. I just want to fill my life with new people and new places and as many adventures as I can handle.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to share time, experiences and worthwhile conversations with anyone over a beer or a smoke. Honestly, I'm more interested in what I will be taught rather than what I will teach you.
I still have a young, fresh outlook on life, so I may teach you the ability to love and be loved, remain open to everything, and radiate positivity wherever you may go.
