Über mich

CURRENT MISSION

Living/working In Munich, traveling a lot. Trying to be better at skiing and learning a bit of mountaineering. I want to make more, bigger art.

ABOUT ME

I want to try all the things. We have approximately 80 years on this earth if we don't fuck it up and I want to fill it with as many experiences as possible.

I like to get into some in depth discussions and find out other people's experience with the world and swap stories. I'm really interested in discovering corners of humanity in places I'd never thought to look.

I'm all about friends, adventure, and music. In that order.

I'm an Innovation Consultant whatever that means.

PHILOSOPHY
The single most important thing of travel is understanding we all have stories and we are all human and each place I go it makes me feel more connected to our world as the aquarium-esque sphere that we are, not a flat map divided by lines of nationalism, race or religion.

AND the secret of happiness is to appreciate all the wonders of the world without forgetting about the two drops of oil in the spoon. - 'The Alchemist' which is also tattooed on my arm.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to know new people and swap stories. I think storytelling creates a human connection between people and the more we understand each others stories the more we know the world. And sometimes they're funny ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done it in Belgium and LatAm and hosted some people in SF. Really I like CS so that I can rock up anywhere in the world and have someone to hang out with.

Interessen

Hiking, climbing, scuba-diving, taking pictures, drinking wine with friends and figuring out how we would restructure the world. Thinking up pranks and ways to leave a bit of weirdness behind.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Books: The Alchemist, House of Leaves (if you want your mind bent this way from Sunday), Everything is Illuminated, magical realism (Kafka, Gabriel Garcia Marques, Isabelle Allende) anything Kurt Vonnegut.

Music: Funky electronic music, Soul music, BLUES MUSIC. I also go on singer/songwriter odysseys especially when it's raining or cold with the likes of Ray Lamontagne, Iron & Wine, and Fleet Foxes. That being said I spend a lot of my time filtering through new music so this list changes nearly constantly.

Food: Sushi, salads, pupusas, pad thai, pizza things that are spicy. I have a borderline clinical addiction to peanut butter.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Jumping on a random speed boat in Colombia that got caught in a storm and the three hour tour turned into two days.

Selling all my stuff and going to India with no plan, only to end up working at one of the largest festival production companies in Malaysia.

Diving in the cenotes in Mexico - literally another world.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

LEARN: Languages, arts, surfing. I want to learn how to make stuff, could be welding, carpentry, electronics.

TEACH: Climbing, jokes, how to get away with trespassing

SHARE: I make the best big salad this side of the Mississippi
