Because it is a great way to experience a place and meet new and interesting people.
Interests
Free time and work as well are usually meant for play and I try to always enjoy what I'm doing.
Arts- I dabble in a lot of art from guitar playing (my ukulele on the wall), to painting and sketching. I just have to let my creativity loose.
Photography - been doing it since I was 12 and as a hobby it's one of my passions.
Music - from Jazz to Rock and Heavy Metal all the way towards EDM and Indie music is a part of daily life, sure it's nice to have some silence from time to time but if you can have your soundtrack playing in the background why shouldn't you...
Beer and coffee - the two drinks I can go into details all day long - love them both for the taste and the depth and breadth our there.
Driving - had to do a lot of it a few years ago and now it's just grown on to me.
Writing - you'll never catch me without a pen and paper on me or nearby, it's gotten addictive over the years.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music depends mostly on the mood I'm in or what pumps me up at that moment.
So it's usually Rock, Heavy Metal, Progressive and later I got into Jazz and Blues. EDM has it's days and Indie is usually something I like to discover. I find the best way to find new music is to meet new people and share tastes and open up your own playlists to compare.
Movie are too many to count - from deep dramas, to the comic book hero movies most of us have seen this decade. I'll enjoy a popcorn and a good action flick but won't shy away from the specialty movies and festivals either.
Books are always part of my life and I've been going through different stages in life - from the obvious science fiction and fantasy when I was young, to classics and non-fiction. I try to have a couple of books in my reading -pile all the time. One of the best experience when traveling is to find a popular book written in the country you're travelling through, reading and imagining the sights as you go.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Managing an entire culture shift where I work, because no one else wanted to do it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach my languages, show around a lot of the sights in Israel and I can share a lot from my academic and work experience. I'm never the one to shy away from deep converstations :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, a cold beer, converstations and cultural exchanges as well as any help needed.
And if I'm hosting then whatever is needed.
