About Me

I was supposed to study law and as a kid the only thing I wanted was to be win a Nobel Price, so obviously I grow up to be a visual artist and work in marketing and game development.

Photography and drawing are my passions, I love to create things, ephemeral or permanents. I build my personal relationship in the same ideal; I want to create things with the people I meet. From moments and laughs to lasting projects.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My gf and I like to travel and we love adventures and meeting new people along the way as part of that. While we enjoy our occasional resort-and-do-nothing-with-a-pinacolarah-at-hand backpacking and exploring new places is our preferred method of travel.

I'm a photographer and she's my model, together we like to record our travels and adventures and the people we meet in pictures and videos, care to be part of our story?

Interests

I'm a digital artist and photographer. I've work in videogames and marketing. I love to document the real world in images as well as illustrate my personal view of life in different media, but mostly photos and drawings.

I'm a terrible but enthusiastic gamer, and not-so-terrible cook. I love to experiment with new ingredients and ideas in the kitchen, the results are not always kitsch but they are at least... an experience.

I like to talk, walk, ride bikes, play games, watch movies, read books, cook, take photos, draw. We are a very curious couple always planning our next big adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books

In music I'm a little friend-driven; I let my friends good taste in music let me discover new bands and songs. I like to discover new music and integrate it into my art, I try to find colors trough sounds. That said if let alone I do enjoy mostly rock, metal and techno music and almost all 90s hits. If you want to hit me with some cool Spotify list, please do so!

I watch movies and series to disconnected from day to day life a bit and experience greater than life adventures; I like big blockbuster with cheese lines and great characters, rather than philosophical ones.
A short list of some movies I've enjoyed would be; Pulp Fiction, The Silence of the Lambs, The Matrix, The Big Lewoski, Fight Club, Blade Runner, 2001: Space Odyssey, Sector 9, Alien, The Martian, Star Wars, Looper, Star Trek, Ex Machina, Mad Max, 5th Element, Attack of the Block, Avengers, Kick Ass, 300, Ip Man, Nymphomaniac.

And books follows more or less the same path, with big scifi and fantasy sagas on the spotlight.

Some author I enjoy are Neil Gaiman, Neal Stephenson, Frank Herbert, James S.A Corey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day we decide to travel, to leave our country. We were too stable and bored with out routine, our life. So, we set up a 3 months schedule, enough to sell most of our things, put in order or papers and do a little tour in our country to say goodbye to our friends. 3 months and a day later our plain was touching down in Santiago de Chile, with no other plan than to find a room for the night and start explore the city.

It might not be the most incredible adventure ever, but we took a radical change in our life with almost not planning, limited budget and a lot of ON THE GO decisions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge about photography, from basic general rules to fashion, wild life and landscape. We can have fun doing photowalks or on the spot photoshoots!

I can also teach how to made you some of my original recipes, that mix Venezuelan/latin flavor with some German cuisine and some of my randomness. Not really vegan, btw, but if you're one we can figure out how to adapt it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I've mention I'd love to cook for you, I can tell you about our travels and we'd love to share an adventure with anyone willing to have a fun day with us.

You don't need to go out of your way to be a guide, nor would we want to impose on your daily routines. I like to explore by foot as much as possible and am capable of handling myself in a new city. Any recommendations or tips are always welcome, tho!
