About Me
Hello 🐱
I'm Lexi (they/them), I've been living and working in Troon on the West Coast for the last few years to be close to my oldest sister and her family. It's a beautiful part of the world for paddle boarding and cycling, retiring and raising a family, but outside of that, it's perhaps a little dull. So I'm starting a new chapter in Glasgow so that I can practice with the local Buddhist Sanghas, get involved with Urban Roots- organic farming charity, and check out the local open mic nights.
I've recently spent ten weeks at a meditation retreat in the Vietnamese Zen Buddhist tradition of Plum Village, near Bordeaux, France. It was challenging and very rewarding, all about a Buddhist contribution to a global ethic and how to cultivate sustainability in community, which I'm particularly interested in.
I've finally found an apartment in Glasgow! And it's not ready until March, so I have a a month to... Adventure 😸
I'm also looking for some temp work to keep me going until I can find something more permanent in social care.
I promise to be an excellent guest, I usually leave places cleaner than I find them, I can cook and coach you in boxing if you like?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To begin my new chapter in Glasgow with a bit more social stability than hostels can provide. I love staying in hostels but people tend to just be passing through. So you get to know half a dozen people and maybe find one that you like hanging out with, who's just as lost around the city as you are 😹
