Currently I'm a masters student in Applied Linguistics (Foreign Language Education) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. I'm originally from the city of Columbus, Ohio in the US but I came to Brazil in February of 2013 to teach English and I just fell in love with the country and it's people. I'm passionate about languages and this drives me to travel the world in order to expand my horizons, meet new people and see new places.

I haven't hosted or couchsurfed yet, but there's no time like the present to get started! I love to travel and there's nothing better than experiencing a new place with someone who lives it everyday.

I love to try new things and, while I may be hesitant at first, I usually give in because you only live once!
