Hi, everybody! I'm 26, I'm currently lecturing at ITMO Univerity in Philosophy both in Russian and English for the Russian and international Master's programme students. It is astonishing to learn something new, and there are a lot of opportunities at the technical University for a young scholar!
Originally I am from a not very big city between St. Petersburg and Moscow, and now I am renting my accomodation in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Writing this CV I am sitting at my desk: to the left there is Socrates's bust, to the right - a nice vivarium with an gorgeous turtoise which inspires me a lot. My small room is full of books (around 600), and I really hope there will stay a place for my bed.
I live together with me girlfriend whom we adore travelling rounf Europe with. For instance, in 2012 we managed to visit 3 countries and 7 cities during three weeks! She is also very much enthusiastic about travelling, reading and having good fun.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

It is very difficult nowadays to find a couch in a hotel or hostel if you are not certain about you funds. When you are going to take part in a conference abroad, it is tremendously hard to convince your chiefs to provide you with any considerable sum. At the same time lots of my friends participate in the Couchsurfing project and they say, it is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and find new friends all around the world. The best thing we can do is to show to another people that they are not alone; so, looking forward to getting new and inspiring impressions!

Centres d'intérêt

My current activities include translating books on the history of Western philosophy, publishing my papers, participating in the conferences and lecturing... However, I am really keen on the Antiquity, and among my latest achievements I can mention my progress in the Ancient Greek and Latin. The bust of Socrates helps me a lot ;) I also have a dream: when I am quite fluent in reading these languages (and quite well-paid), I will buy the volumes of a famous series of "Loeb Classic Library" - book by book per month. I also love poetry and cycling; the latter keeps me not only fit, but sane within a megapolis with drastic underground and overcrowded streets.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I definitely keen on The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and classic rock as such. My most favourite performers are Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Joan Baez and Norah Johns. But if one asks me, what is music, I would just say: Beethoven ;)
Also I myself can play the guitar (the Irish traditional songs mainly).

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Hmm.. Probably, I got the American visa from the first attempt :)) but truely speaking, I made my parents happy when I defended the PhD thesis.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

The way of life makes people try themselves in different spheres. I have experience of teaching English, philosophy and writing papres on the topics of Humanities. I love learning the languages and how other people live and think. I really appreciate when it becomes possible to share my experience with those who are inetrested in what I am doing.
However, I really hope to meet a person who could teach me to dance and love moderm art.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

First of all, I am a communcable and cheerful person (as they say), and I will try to share my optimism. Also I can mend the chairs and windows, and once I was really good at repairing the electricity. It would really be nice to meet a person who also loves chatting in the evenings with a glass of good wine and doesn't mind listening to good music - or playing it. As a guest I am calm, modest and polite, and always bring some small traditional Russian souvenirs when I come at one's. I am also open-minded concerning the everyday life, and I think that I could be easily done in guesting.
