Overview
About Me
Currently, studying to be a physician through the USAF Health Professionals Scholarship Program to serve a few years and then continue to work by joining Doctors Without Borders or a similar, sustainable organization to focus on work in South America, Central America, or anywhere I believe is most needing of support. Right now I'm just studying hard and enjoying my time off by getting outside!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm applying to a number of medical schools and with interviews and open houses all over the country these trips are near impossible on my college student budget ($0 - $15 fluctuating). Once that period is over I hope to be a host and go couchsurfing to meet new locals as I travel this summer.
Interests
Trying to keep taking care of my mind and body while keeping up the grades! I love anything involving nature, getting up my heart rate, or demanding complete focus.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I flew back from Costa Rica to New Mexico to sleep on my friend's couch and take the MCAT the next day which was a blast. The coolest thing I think I've seen was the sunrise from a fire tower near the Nantahala Outdoor Center (shout out) or Machu Picchu.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I know a whole lot about biochemistry and stuff if you're interested in that... but nobody is. Beside that I'm pretty knowledgeable in any of the interests I mentioned and I've got some stories from my time abroad, like being held at gunpoint in CR and using the heimlich maneuver on my host mom's dog.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully some decent conversation and I love to cook! The human side of medicine is what really drew me in so I love to get to know people. I've got perspectives from the military, the medical field, and as an outdoorsman so my opinion can be really varied on things.
