About Me
Hey there, I'm Alex.
I live in Germany and I currently work as an elementary school teacher in my hometown of Saarbrücken, Germany.
I was born in a small town in Ukraine bordering Hungary, but my family moved to Germany when I was 4 years old. After finishing high school I moved to Mainz, Germany where I attended Johannes Gutenberg-University majoring in English and Philosophy.
I spent my semester abroad in Ohio, during which I took a roadtrip along the east coast from Baltimore to Portland, Maine.
In general, I am nice, fun loving person who likes to have a laugh and is always open to experiencing something new.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting people, making friends all around the world, and experiencing new places through the people who live there.
Interests
I love poetry and music, especially folk music, which, to me, is the perfect blend of both. Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen or Don McLean are some of my favourites. I even wrote my Bachelor's thesis on Dylan. But I'm open to all other kinds of music as well.
(Stand up) comedy is another thing I just can't get enough of with Dylan Moran and George Carlin being some of my all time favorite comedians.
