Hello! I am currently a student at Purdue University in the United States. I am studying Environmental and Ecological Engineering. In February I will be studying abroad. I love to travel and meet new people! Some of my interests are hiking, sports, singing, messing around with instruments, and binge-watching tv shows.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a passion to travel and meet new people where ever I go! Over time, I have been less interested in the normal traveling schedule of eating out and staying in a hotel, and over the same time, I have grown a passion for going off the path and travel with a purpose. No more going out to eat and staying in hotels, but more connecting with the people and the culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a really hard question and I struggle everytime! I enjoy listening to most music, but I love listening to bluegrass and acoustic folk music. Over the past few months though, I have really gotten into electronic, like mint or dance-pop on Spotify. I really enjoy listening to EDEN.

I have a hard time paying attention when watching movies unless it keeps my attention the whole time. My favorite movies have a lot of suspense and are thrillers. Some of my favorites come from Alfred Hitchcock. I also have a guilty pleasure of feel-good movies. One of my favorite all-time movies is October Sky

As a full-time student, I do not have a lot of time to read books even though I really need to start reading more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hiked from the base of Aguas Calientes in Peru to Machu Pichu
I have been to Chichen Itza
I have stood on the edge of the Cliffs of Moher

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people how to juggle
I can share stories about what it was like growing up in small farming community in the heart of the United States
I can try my best to try to show people the basics of swing dancing

What I Can Share with Hosts

Besides from stories that I have on from my short experience of traveling, I can offer a warm smile, a helping hand, and an eagerness to learn about the places I am visiting and the people that make the city.
