About Me
Hey everybody!
I'm a First Year Student of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science. I'm about as Third Culture as they come: I'm half-Finnish, half-Canadian, but I grew up in the Middle East. I have a passion for International Politics, Anthropology, Sociology, culture (cinematographic, literary, musical... you name it!) as well as physical exercise (swimming, martial arts, the gym, winter sports etc.) and the outdoors; if any of those strike your fancy then you and I will get along absolutely swimmingly! Having said that, I hold curiosity as one of the greatest virtues of my personality, so learning something new from the people around me is always most welcome and actually preferred.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My primary motivation for joining Couchsurfing is to try and introduce a new dimension to my travels abroad; to try and embrace the lifestyle and culture of wherever it is that I am traveling to in order to better experience the immersion process that is bound to add a unique dynamic to any travel experience. Picking up the intricacies of the local language or dialect, I am sure, would also be facilitated through the un-alienated and intimate travel experience that Couchsurfing can provide.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything that falls under the category of 'culture' is bound to fascinate me! One can never be too persnickety when it comes to something as marvelous as the celebration of human cultural achievement, y'know?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Back in high school I went on a philanthropic adventure to southern Kerala with my classmates where we personally renovated two pre-schools and one primary school in impoverished neighborhoods around the southern coast of the state. For me personally, the trip was a profound and revelatory reminder of how wonderful it is to help those who are less fortunate in order to help them realize and materialize their fullest potential.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have held various tutoring and teaching positions in the past, so I therefore approach all scenarios where teaching or learning are required with the agency and helpful attitude that I know is necessary. Whether that be in something as complex and daunting as learning and communicating in a new language, or in something as rudimentary as boiling pasta, I can guarantee that I will not disappoint :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
I pride myself on my attentive and curious personality; a concoction of characteristics that I believe ameliorates all social scenarios. Of course I could drone on and on about the various things that would make me an awesome houseguest (courteousness, cleanliness, vibrancy etc.), but so that I do not leave you feeling too bored, I will simply end by saying that everything that I do is done with an unparalleled attitude and glistening smile that will hopefully cheer up your day as much as it cheers up mine.
