Hi folks! I'm a student from Berlin, 21 years old and very new to Couchsurfing. Please help me with tips if you got some. I'm very energetic and use my free time to trying out various new things, listening to inspiring people and just enjoying being outside. I do lots of sports, love beach-volleyball and like philosophy, apart from that my biggest talent is probably making pancakes ;)
I'd generally love to host friendly guests to Berlin but you should know that I live pretty far out of town.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The idea is so amazing it's still hard to believe there are so many people who offer such hospitality to strangers. For me meeting locals is the best experience I can get when traveling, much more valuable that the usual tourist stuff. So if you can't host me but you'd like to meet that would be absolutely amazing too.

I try to live and to travel on low budget when it comes to plain comfort (not only because I don't have much money but mainly because the hostel money I save can be spent for far cooler things) so I used to just sleep outside in the open too. Naturally, I greatly prefer to sleep under a roof though if possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped to build up a NGO in Berlin to help young kids with difficult background at the worst schools in town. That was a pretty amazing experience.
