Hi, I'm Alexander! I'm a 20 years old, and I’m from Denmark. I’ve just started my gap year, and I’m now traveling mainly by volunteering at different projects around the world. Through this I want to see and experience my destinations in a meaningful and deep way - I hope Couchsurfing will help me do this too!
I would describe myself as curious, open, outgoing and helpful. Some of the things I like are cooking, reading, running and partying. I love a good discussion and I love being challenged and enlightened by people with other views, knowledge, and values. As you can hear, I'm a man of many interests, which also makes it hard for me to decide what I want to spend the rest of my life doing! I'm hoping this gap-year will help me clear that up, as I hope to get countless first-hand experiences of new cultures, traditions, skills, values and what ever else might come my way.
I'm incredibly eager to have a ton of new experiences, learn a bunch of things, and meet all kinds of new people. I hope I'll get the chance to meet you and learn from you character, culture, values, and views!

I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to meet and learn from the people at my destinations in a grounded, personal and deep way! I just want to get to know you, your life, and your home!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like absolutely all genres of music. I really enjoy reading both literature and articles. And I’ll probably like any genre of movies, as long as it’s not a boring horror or a boring romance :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer I have volunteered in Ukraine though a humanitarian organization. Even though I was never close to the fighting or combat, it was an incredibly interesting experience that I feel I have learned a lot from.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach, learn, and share all things possible with the people I meet here. Traditions, food, media, language, culture… interesting and enlightening talks and discussions are probably my favorite activities.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can, of course, share my character, culture and experiences with my host - but other than that I am definitely willing to share tasks or expenses as needed and agreed :)
